Padma Bridge Paragraph
Padma Bridge is a key arrangement to the broadened advancement of the southern region of Bangladesh. All the important aspects will be highlighted in this Padma bridge paragraph. It is a multipurpose road-rail across the Padma River. It is going to connect Louhajong to Shariatpur and Madaripur as well as the southwest part to the northern and the southern region of the country.
It is a 6.15-kilometer-long bridge with an 18.10-kilometer width. It will include a four-lane highway along and a single-lane railway. The bridge will have 42 spans in total with each being 150-kilometer-long and it will be able to carry 3140 tons’ weights. Moreover, the Padma Bridge will have about 264 piles in total where each pile will be 150 meters long and 120meters of the 150 meters from each pile will be underwater.

Padma Bridge Live Program
The Padma Bridge will be inaugurated shortly. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached the Mawa end of the much-desired bridge. He is speaking there. At the beginning of his speech, he expressed his respect and love to the countrymen.
At 9:55 a.m., he arrived at the Mawa rally site by helicopter. He will address the first gathering there. He will unveil the inaugural plaque at the end of his address at the Sudhi rally at Mawa. This will open up endless doors of connection, communication and potential for 21 districts in the south and south-west with the capital Dhaka and other parts of the country. That bridge of dreams is now a reality for the country’s 35 million people in the south.
People have started coming in groups at both ends of the bridge since this morning. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the bridge at the end of Mawa and will cross the bridge by car. Go to the other end. There will be a rally at 12 noon after the unveiling of the plaque. The organizers have said that at least 1 million people will gather there. There has been a downpour of people since this morning. People from different parts of the south are gathering there. People are coming to the rally in T-shirts of different colors, dancing and singing.
The first segment of the inaugural ceremony is playing out on Saturday at the Mawa end of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge where the prime minister will release a commemorative postal stamp and souvenir sheet. She is also scheduled to unveil the inaugural plaque and Mural-1 at the toll plaza.
The prime minister boarded a helicopter at the old airport in Dhaka’s Tejgaon at 9:30 am and arrived at the inauguration stage at 10 am.
She was joined on stage by Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Alam, Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project Director Shafiqul Alam.
Nearly 3,000 invited guests, including foreign diplomats, ministers and senior Awami League leaders joined Hasina in celebrating the inauguration of the government-funded bridge at the venue.
Among the guests were Speaker of the House Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, World Bank Country Director for Bangladesh Mercy Tembon, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram K Doraiswami, and Gonoshasthaya Kendra Trustee Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury.
It is an honour to have taken part in the 1971 Liberation War and still be here to see the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, said Dr Zafrullah.

The Padma Bridge is the largest bridge in Bangladesh. As the government of Bangladesh has initiated the project with their own fund and overcoming all the challenges is itself a new beginning.
