যে সকল প্রাণীর ভ্রুণের কোষগুলো বহিঃস্তর (Ectoderm)) ও অন্তঃস্তর (Endoderm) নামক দুটি স্তরে সাজানো থাকে তাদেরকে দ্বিস্তরী প্রাণী বলে। যেমন- অরেলিয়া (Aurelia aurita)।
