যে সকল প্রাণীর ভ্রূণের কোষগুলো বহিঃস্তর, মধ্যস্তর (Mesoderm) ও অন্তঃস্তর নামক তিনটি স্তরে সাজানো থাকে তাদেরকে ত্রিস্তরী প্রাণী বলে। যেমন- মানুষ (Homo sapiens)।
