মজুদ পণ্য কি
কোনো কারবার প্রতিষ্ঠানে বাণিজ্যিকভাবে বিক্রয়ের জন্য উৎপাদিত বা ক্রয়কৃত পণ্যের যে অংশ অবিক্রীত থেকে যায় এবং যা পূর্ণ বিক্রয়যোগ্য তাকে মজুদ পণ্য বলে। মজুত পণ্য একটি দৃশ্যমান ও স্পর্শযোগ্য চলতি সম্পদ।
ইংরেজিতে একে stock বা Inventor বলে। অনেকে মনে করেন Inventory এর অর্থ হচ্ছে List of product. নিম্নে মজুত পণ্যের কিছু জনপ্রিয় সংজ্ঞা তুলে ধরা হলো।
Harmanson এবং Others-এর মতে, “Merchandise inventory is the quantity of goods on hand and available for sale at any given time.”
Pyle এবং Lacrson-এর মতে, “Merchandise inventory is the unsold merchandise on hand at a given time.”
এল. জে. গ্যারেট ও মিল্টন সিলভার-এর মতে, “মজুত পণ্য হচ্ছে যেকোনো ধরনের একটি অলস সম্পদ যা অর্থনৈতিক মূল্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ করে।“
Hingorani এবং Others-এর মতে, “Inventory is composed of raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Perhaps one could extend the meaning of the term to include stores, spare parts, loose tools, etc. Which are intended to be insumed in the production of goods or services.”
উপরিউক্ত আলোচনার মাধ্যমে বলা যায় যে, ব্যবসায়িক স্বাভাবিক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা, ভোক্তা বা ক্রেতা সাধারণের দৈনন্দিন চাহিদা মিটানোর জন্য যে পরিমাণ কাঁচামাল, উৎপাদিত পণ্য, চলতি কার্যের পণ্য ব্যবসায়ে রাখা হয় তাকে মজুত পণ্য বলে।
